Serving Kentucky

Greetings, I'm Michael Snellen, the leader of this Kentucky Catholics mission. Born under the shadow of St. Joseph's Basilica, the first Cathedral built in the Kentucky wilderness, I have a great love for this land and its people.

This mission exists to serve all in Kentucky.

Inspired by the missionaries who brought Jesus to our ancestors here, I dedicate my heart to this task of using new technologies such as the internet to support community and the spread of the Gospel.

I ask for your support in prayer, that this Kentucky Catholics mission will be sustained. Volunteers are always welcomed.

I can only imagine the smile of a Fr. Nerinckx, looking down from Heaven, to see the tireless efforts that Kentucky Catholics still have—a spirit grown by the bravery of our pioneer ancestors, hardened by a Civil War, and born again in the light of Christ amidst the cradle of these knobs.

I feel Christ calls upon each of us again to accomplish something great for the entire American Church. Pray for the will of God to be done in our parishes, homes, and hearts.

May God bless you!

Holy Cross, Kentucky

On August 12th,

We gathered at the grave of the Apostle of Kentucky. Fr. Charles Nerinckx died 200 years ago to the day and gave his life to Christ and the Catholic Church in Kentucky. To continue his zeal, and further the mission of Jesus in the lives of every Kentuckian, we begin this new mission.

Our Advisory Team
